These Elf Ears are placed behind the ear for a better fit. They are made from the same soft foam latex as all of our prosthetics. They can be applied as a compliment to many other full face prosthetic designs to enhance a particular look.
The Elf Ears Set includes:
* Two unpainted soft foam latex ear prosthetics
* Instructional booklet with easy to follow directions on full application.
Frequently Asked Questions:
DO THEY COME PRE-COLORED?
No. All of prosthetic appliances are sold uncolored. This allows you to customize the coloring of your appliance exactly the way you want.
CAN I REUSE Appliances?
Yes. With proper care in removal, clean up, and storage you can expect approximately 6 uses.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO PUT ON A Prosthetic?
Here's a basic list of the items needed to complete the look:
· ADHESIVE (spirit gums, pro-adhesive, silicone adhesives, acrylic adhesives)
· RUBBER MASK GREASEPAINT
· LOOSE POWDER
· MAKEUP SPONGES
· POWDER PUFF
· MAKEUP BRUSHES
· ADHESIVE REMOVER
You can also finish it out with airbrush makeup, or traditional cream makeup if you seal the piece first with a coat of castor seal, such as Graftobian Castor Seal, MM-1051.
HOW LONG CAN I WEAR AN FX FACE APPLIANCE?
With proper care in adhesion and using a durable longer wearing adhesive you can wear your prosthetic as long as you want. Since they allow the head to breathe freely, you won't overheat, like with traditional slip latex masks.
CAN I USE REGULAR MAKEUP ON FX FACES APPLIANCES?
No, not without first using a castor sealer, such as Graftobian Castor Seal, MM-1051, on the appliance first. Regular makeup products will soak out or streak on the appliance, and will eventually break down the foam latex without this sealer applied first. We recommend using Rubber Mask Greasepaint, such as Graftobian RMG, MM-1261, Pax type paints, or alcohol based makeup products. If using airbrush we recommend using alcohol based or any other prosthetic grade airbrush product.
I HAVE LITTLE TO NO MAKEUP TRAINING. CAN I STILL APPLY THIS APPLIANCE? Definitely. All of facial prosthetics come with an easy-to-follow instructional booklet which shows how to apply and finish it in simple steps easy enough for the non-makeup artist/consumer use.
