Skin Illustrator is designed to create a variety of different effects, even covering tattoos or coloring hair. It can be used on foam latex, gelatin, plastic, and silicone appliances. The high pigment content provides rich color tones that stay in place and last all day. Skin Illustrator colors can be activated with a spray or dab of 99% alcohol to apply and it requires very little touch up other than an occasional powdering. Whether you use a brush, air brush, sponge or stipple technique, the versatility of Skin Illustrator can fix a problem or keep one from happening! The colors from this palette can be custom blended together with other Skin Illustrator colors from other palette sets. Skin Illustrator also be easily blended with other brands of alcohol activated colors and palettes. The colors in the Flesh Tone Palette range from the palest of pink tones to the deepest rich yellow tones. This palette contains skin tone colors with warming/cooling adjusters that are ideal for fine tuning a skin tone mix that's a perfect match, or for creating a subtle bruising for close camera work. Rice Paper, the staple of the palette, can be used as a white color to lighten a particular mix, or on its own to match the skin. You can use Natural 1 & 2 as the basis for most Caucasian tones, and these colors lean towards the yellow side, so you can decide how much warmth or coolness to add. If you need to warm the Naturals, add a little Coral Adjuster or Rose Adjuster II. If you need to cool the tone, add a little Olive Adjuster I (liquid version only) or Vein Tone to achieve a beige color. LAO 1 & 2 will be the basis for your yellow undertoned subjects. Start with these colors and you can lighten the tone with a Rice Paper mix. To make your color more beige, add Vein Tone. To make your color more olive add Olive Adjuster II, and if you want to add a touch of golden use the Coral Adjuster. Cedar Brown is a warm, yellow based brown that can add a tan to your subject or darken the 5 basic flesh tones. All of the color adjusters have been formulated to intermix with the flesh tones. The palette colors must be activated with 99% alcohol, such as Telesis ISO GEL, Skin Illustrator Slow Activator, or REEL Creations 99% Alcohol Developer, to apply and requires very little touch up other than an occasional powdering. Removal is easy with PPI's Telesis Super Solv, or Telesis Makeup Remover DO NOT USE 70% alcohol, MEK, acetone, water, or any other solvent, as you will not achieve maximum color saturation. To use, simply saturate the top surface of the color well with the 99%, then work a brush or swab on the top of the surface until it liquefies. It then can be applied with a brush, sponge, swab or even a disposable mascara wand.
